Welcome to our home, the AuSable River Charm, formerly known as Gotts Landing canoe livery. The home is located within walking distance to the beautiful and relaxing AuSable River, where you can relax and unwind with family and friends. Whether it’s a relaxing float down the river, fishing on the river or Mio pond, taking in several local ORV trails, going for nature walks or just getting away to reset – whatever your getaway includes – we hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The driveway is pretty steep. During snowy months, a four-wheel drive vehicle may be needed. There is plenty of parking on south side of property. 

 

Check-in Time: 4 pm (unless earlier check-in time is prearranged)

 

Check-out Time: 11 am (unless late check-out time is prearranged)

 

Entry and Exit:

 

For check-in, we will send you an E-KEY text for entry. This code starts and stops at standard check-in and check-out dates/times. For your convenience, enter at the rear door. It has the touchpad to enter the E-KEY code. Enter the code slowly and firmly press each number. If you are still having problems, call or text the maintenance line number listed below.

 

To exit, hold the door tightly shut, touch the keypad to illuminate keypad, then hold "#" until the door locks. Please confirm door is locked before departure.

Please call or text this number if you have any needs during your stay. If nobody answers, wait five minutes and call again. 

Please leave a message with your name, cabin name, and the problem.

 

If it’s an emergency – and no one answers on second attempt – call and text 419.290.6974 and 419.290.6936.

 

In case of a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1.

 

General Rules:

  • A propane grill is on the property. We do not monitor the propane tank levels nor provide propane. If you wish to use the propane grill, and the tank is empty, you can exchange it at your own expense at local gas station or hardware (ACE). Please clean grates/grill after use for next user.
  • A charcoal grill is also on the property. We do not provide charcoal, foil, starter fluid or a lighter for the grill. Please make sure all ashes are extinguished after cooking and before checkout. (NO ASHES IN DUMPSTER). 
  • The fire pit is for your use. Please make sure fires are out when going in for the night and extinguish fire/hot ashes before checkout (NO ASHES IN DUMPSTER). Unfortunately, we cannot provide firewood for the fire pit. At your expense, wood can be delivered before or during your stay; you would pay the delivery person directly.
  • This is a reminder to buy beverages in aluminum or plastic containers. If going down river, NO GLASS OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A TICKET. Please respect the river and dispose of all waste/trash properly. THANK YOU
  • The refrigerator has an ice maker. However, for large groups, the ice maker cannot make enough. You may bring bagged ice to store in the freezer or coolers. Bagged ice is available for purchase at nearby convenient stores.
  • There are ROKU TVs in every room with remotes. ALL REMOTES OPERATE ALL TVs. Please make sure all remotes are in each room by the tv when checking out. A fee will be charged for lost remote(s).
  • Locked closets are for housekeeping only. Closets in rooms are for your use.
  • If you have more trash than the outdoor trash cans can hold, please put it in the large dumpster located at the back of property.

Check out Procedures:

  1. Remove all items from refrigerator and wipe clean
  2. Ensure the microwave, stovetop, oven and counters are left clean
  3. Load and start the dishwasher
  4. Leave linens on the beds
  5. Place towels in the bathroom baskets
  6. Pick up all trash inside and out, place in trash bags and put in outside cans or dumpster
  7. Take all trash bags and put in dumpster at rear of property. Be sure trash cans are empty and lids are latched in place
  8. Lock doors and windows
  9. Set thermostats at 60 degrees if heat is on. There are two thermostats: one in the game room on west wall, and one in the main dining area,
  10. Walk through to ensure you're not leaving anything behind. Please check out promptly so housekeeping can prepare the house for the next guest. Your door codes will be deactivated approximately 5 minutes after your scheduled departure time.

Refund & Cancellation Policy:

 

In the event of a cancellation, the Renter must contact the Landlord by phone (419.290.6936) within seven (7) days prior to the check-in date. If a cancellation is made in less than one week, a $300 cancellation fee will be assessed. The remaining rental fees will be refunded. If the Renter(s) fail to show up for the confirmed reservation, there is no refund.
